Sphere ice for whisky and cocktails
Slow-melting, crystal-clear ice spheres — the classic choice for whisky, negroni and old fashioned served in a rocks glass. A sphere has the smallest surface for its volume, so it melts slowly and dilutes very little.

Which drinks
Whisky and spirits
A sphere in a rocks glass chills the spirit without watering it down.
Negroni and old fashioned
Stirred cocktails served on the rocks stay balanced for longer.
Signature serve
A clear ice ball is instantly recognised as premium service.
Why a sphere melts slowly
Dilution depends on how much ice surface touches the drink. Of all shapes with the same volume, a sphere has the least surface — so it melts more slowly than several small cubes of the same weight.
Clarity matters too: a sphere without air bubbles is denser, does not crack when the drink is poured and keeps its shape to the end.
Frequently asked questions
Which diameter should I choose?
50–55 mm for standard rocks glasses; 60–65 mm for wide glasses and premium whisky service.
Sphere or large cube?
Both dilute very little. The sphere is more theatrical; the large cube fills the glass better and is easier to stack. See the large ice cube.
Do you sell ice balls to private customers?
Yes, you can order bags of spheres in our online shop.
